With all kinds of new content being added to Ultimate Team, developer Electronic Arts is trying to capitalize on the hype. EA Sports FC 24 got a new Evolution today that anyone can do, while the focus is obviously on getting players to spend real money. The Marauders Evolution allows you to take a lower-ranked defender and give them a big overall boost, while also giving them two PlayStyles that aren't traditionally associated with center backs. Below you'll find the requirements you need to consider when deciding which player to take, and a rundown of the best players to use the Marauder Evolution on in EA Sports FC 24.

What is the EA Sports FC 24 Marauder Evolution Upgrade?

EA Sports FC 24's Marauder Evolution is a strange one. Fortunately, it's free and relatively easy to do, so you can get it done in short order. Even if you don't want to make your center back better on the ball, it's probably worth it for the food alone. Here are the requirements you need to keep in mind:

Max Overall: 82
Max Pace: 72
Max Dribbling: 75
Max Defending: 82
Max Physical: 82
Position: CB
Once you finish all of the Objectives, you'll earn +6 Overall, +8 Pace, +3 Shooting, +12 Dribbling, +6 Physical, +6 Passing, +7 Defending, and the First Touch and Technical PlayStyles.

The best CBs to use for the Marauder Evolution

Again, this seems to be a strange choice made by EA. Players generally don't use their center backs to build up the attack, and most of the players that fit the bill can't flex into the midfield. However, there are a few players that stand out. Of course, if you are not interested in any of them, you can just pick an 82 OVR player that fits the bill and bump him up for a free 88 OVR:

Inigo Martinez - Barcelona
Ben White - Arsenal
Diego Carlos - Aston Villa
Samuel Umtiti - Lille
Sandra Castello - Sporting Huelva
Martinez is probably your best option. Not only do you get a decent La Liga option, but you also get a free 88 OVR. You can use that later in an SBC. He's not going to make the team for anyone who's been playing the game since launch, but he's a good option for new players while you work your way up the ladder.

White is interesting because he can play out wide. He's probably not fast enough to make most teams, but you can move him over to CB and get a solid player for your team. Diego Carlos and Samuel Umtiti are probably the best traditional CB options behind Martinez. But again, they're nothing to write home about.

Because Castello can flex up to center midfield, she is potentially the most interesting option. With the boost, she gets a 92 Passing and an 86 Dribbling, which means that she'll be able to pull the strings out of the back of your midfield. If you can fit her into your team, she'll be a solid fill-in option while you improve your club.
