FUT 22: FUT Captains Team 1 around Reus and Ben Yedder in packs

Team 1 of the brand new FUT Captains promo is in the FUT 22 Ultimate Team (FUT) packs, with Marco Reus and Wissam Ben Yedder leading the selection.

What takes a long time will finally be good: The leaks to the FUT Captains have existed for months, on Friday evening (April 8th) EA SPORTS released the first team in the FUT 22 packs. The developer equips some of the most loyal and important captains in European football with powerful special cards. Leading the first FUT Captains pick is Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus (93), followed by four 92-overall-rated players: AS Monaco's Wissam Ben Yedder, Sampdoria's Fabio Quagliarella and Sampdoria's Hugo Lloris Tottenham Hotspur and SSC Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne.

Two more captains from the Bundesliga have become part of the FUT Captains event: Christian Günter (88) from SC Freiburg and Jonas Hector (87) from 1. FC Köln are in the FUT 22 packs. With Lars Stindl (89) from Borussia Mönchengladbach, another captain from the German football upper house has appeared – but via Objectives. In addition, Joaquín (92) from Betis Sevilla can be unlocked as a FUT Captain via a Squad Building Challenge (SBC).

Di Natale & Co.: First FUT Heroes upgrades

However, the FUT Captains special cards are not the only content that EA SPORTS will be presenting for the promo of the same name over the next two weeks: With Antonio Di Natale (93), Diego Milito (93), Fredrik Ljungberg (92) and Clint Dempsey (91) the first four FUT Heroes have been upgraded. Former German national striker Mario Gomez (93) is expected to follow with a big boost in speed in the coming days. Meanwhile, Argentinian Javier Zanetti, who won the Champions League with Inter Milan in 2010, made the start among the daily Icon Moments SBCs.
