FUT 23 First Trailer and Cover Stars you need know

EA will reveal the first official look of FUT 23 this week, with a teaser debut on July 20 at 9AM PT / 12PM ET. Cover art for the Ultimate Edition has also been revealed, starring Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe and Sam Kerr. This marks the third consecutive cover appearance for Mbappe, who is considered the best player in the world at the moment.

This year has been a big one for the FUT series, as it was the last time the franchise was released and developed through EA. Having produced football matches under the FUT banner since 1993, the series will be known as EA Sports FC as part of an ongoing rights negotiation process with FUT.

EA said in its announcement that EA Sports FC will still include what fans expect from teams, including modes, leagues, tournaments, clubs and athletes, as well as Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Club and Volta.

While it's losing the FUT brand -- which the FUT body is asking EA to pay $1 billion every four years to use it -- it will still retain more than 19,000 players, more than 700 teams, more than 100 stadiums and 30 leagues (like the Premier League) League), La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Major League Soccer, etc.

FUT official body doesn't seem too concerned, as chairman Gianni Infantino claims it is working with multiple third-party studios and publishers to offer "more options" than a single company. According to Infantino, multiple FUT games are in development, adding that at least one game will be the "best" football game on the market in the future.
