When will FUT 23 be released?

EA has yet to officially release FUT 23, but as with other years, it's almost certainly only a matter of time.

FUT 23 is a game that marks the end of the EA era. After saying FUT 22 could be a FUT game, it has now been confirmed that EA Sports will end its relationship with FUT (opens in new tab) after 30 years. Making FUT 23 will be the last game to bear the FUT name in the series, which will be called EA Sports FC

While we know the next game will be named FUT 23, we still have a lot to do. The thing is, we're not sure when we'll get all the important details. EA Play Live, which was supposed to be EA's traditional summer showcase, was canceled in 2022.

EA Sports has not confirmed a date or platform for FUT  23 to be released yet. However, we can make an educated guess as to when we will be exposed to the next FUT.

The last few FUT games were released between September and October, with FUT 21 on October 5, 2020 and FUT 22 on September 26, 2021. If EA follows the same pattern, then we think FUT 23 will be released around this time.

We'll likely see FUT 23 released on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC. If the new FUT launches on the same platform as its predecessor, we'll also see it launch on Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PlayStation 4.

There's also a good chance it's coming to the Nintendo Switch, but note that this is usually what EA refers to as "legacy." Basically switch the FUT 19 version of the team's lineup and jerseys, and EA has done this for three years in a row. So, you get the latest squad, but nothing else.
